Hello!
It’s finally time for me to post the full BoardWalk Inn review. I’ve been saving this for quite some time now, but I think now is a perfect time for it to be released. Why, you ask? Well, it’s the last day of the @wanderingwishestravel Instagram page’s Boardwalk theme! I’ve been saving this picture since I stayed at the resort for this exact post. Check it out on Instagram!
As some background, I stayed at the BoardWalk Inn for the first time a couple months ago. I stayed Club Level, and I have a whole other review posted for that! If you are deciding between a Club Level room and a standard room, hopefully these two guides can help you with your decision. I gave a complete guide on the food put out each day, along with a bit of information about the atmosphere. This post will focus more on the BoardWalk Inn itself, not Club Level.
Let’s get started!

Before I arrived at the BoardWalk Inn, I was a bit nervous about how different it would be from the Beach and Yacht Club, the resorts I usually stay at. I heard it was smaller than the others, but the idea of staying on the Boardwalk and being so close to my usual resorts was calming; I was excited to explore a new resort!
I was definitely in for a surprise. I arrived at almost 10 pm, and I was amazed at how beautiful the lobby was (especially with all the holiday decorations!). Check-In was very quick and easy, and the cast members were all very friendly. Since it was not yet 10 pm, I was able to get some snacks from the Club Level lounge before we went to our room 😉.
The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated! The BoardWalk has a beautiful central theme, and the furniture goes along with it very well. My room was just above the Garden Cottages, so I got a great view of the gondolas in the sky and could even see fireworks at night. Please note that the view varies from room-to-room, but there are many other great views one could have. Since I viewed the garden from my balcony all day, I became qualified to say the garden is perfectly manicured (like all landscaping on Disney property). The sunrises and sunsets over it are beautiful, and it’s a view I’d never tire of!
The resort itself is large enough to not feel cramped, but still small enough to not be confusing. It was very easy for us to find our way around. There are so many tiny details throughout the resort that one could explore for hours. The glass cabinets by the elevators are all filled with little trinkets. Be sure to check out the piece of cake (made of flowers) in the cabinet by the elevators on the second floor!
The theming caries through the whole resort. The colors, the small decorations, the little gift shops, even the resort’s signatures smells all combine to make a beautiful resort. It’s easy to walk to any spot on the Boardwalk from the resort.
Outside, there is always something to do. There are often entertainers on the Boardwalk to watch. Guests can sit on a bench to watch the Boardwalk’s happenings, go for a bike ride, grab a bite to eat at one of the small stores, check out the other resorts close by, or even ride on the Skyliner!
Speaking of the Skyliner, it is a very short walk from the BoardWalk to EPCOT. Guests staying in that area can easily access it from the International Gateway. By cutting through the pool area, BoardWalk guests can very easily walk to Hollywood Studios, which is far easier than taking a bus or boat to either park. Unless you like buses or boats… it’s easy to get to those, too!
And speaking of the pool, it’s a bit smaller than other pools, but it’s still very nicely-themed and fun. The BoardWalk Inn is home to that clown waterslide you might have seen if you’ve walked to walking path to Hollywood Studios. I’m proud to say I went down the clown waterslide, and it’s definitely a must if you visit the pool. From this visit, I’ve concluded waterslides are a lot more interesting if you’re shooting out of a clown’s mouth at the end.
Though I dined in the parks this visit, there are a ton of dining options on the Boardwalk if you’d prefer to stay closer to “home” to eat. You’ve got Flying Fish, Trattoria Al Forno, BoardWalk Bakery, the To-Go Cart, and even Ample Hills Creamery, to name a few. Ample Hills is a must if you stay at the BoardWalk— it’s delicious.
Overall, I absolutely loved my time at the BoardWalk Inn. There’s something about it that I just love, and I can’t seem to name the specific thing. Maybe it’s the convenient location, the fact that you’re in the middle of the Boardwalk, the dining options, the beautiful decorations, or the friendliness of the cast members. Whatever it is, I can promise you you’ll enjoy your stay at the BoardWalk Inn. I’d recommend it the most out of any Disney World resort I’ve stayed in.
