Full Review of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Club Level

Hello!

I returned from my Disney trip a few days ago, and though I wish I were still there, I will let the memories live on in the many blog posts I have planned. I kept a long list in my notes app during my stay. So, with a new post every weekend, I’m very excited to share my newfound Disney information with you. Especially my experience with Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Club Level!

Before I begin, I’d like to thank you for all the support Wandering Wishes Travel has been receiving. I’m very excited to be running this blog, and you make that possible. If you’d like to check out WWT’s Instagram, where I very frequently post Disney photos, you can find it at @wanderingwishestravel. Please visit my Contact page for more information. I hope you enjoy this post!

For the first time ever, I stayed at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. I’ve been alternating between the Beach and Yacht Club for the past few years, but I decided to try out the BoardWalk this year! I stayed Club Level for all five nights, and I made sure to take notes of the food every day.

This article will cover food and the general atmosphere of the Club Level. A separate review for the BoardWalk Inn in general will be up very soon!

PART ONE: FOOD

The Innkeeper’s Clubhouse (the BoardWalk’s Club Level lounge) serves many offerings throughout the day. Coffee and beverages are served almost all day, from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; continental breakfast is out from 7:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.; snacks are out from 11:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; appetizers are out from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.; and desserts and cordials are served from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

To avoid confusion, I will not be listing the specific food put out every single day. Instead, I will make a set chunk of text for each food category and naming what stays consistent each day and what changes.

COFFEE AND BEVERAGES: The BoardWalk’s Club Level offers beverages you would find in many other Club Levels, with a few surprises. Water, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea are served all day, every day: with adorable Mickey-shaped sugar and brown sugar cubes to go along with the coffee and tea. At all times apart from breakfast, they serve fairly consistent beverages. Juices, milk, and soda can be found in the refrigerators. Iced tea and lemonade are served in dispensers. When I stayed there, they mostly served regular lemonade, yet they had a delicious strawberry lemonade the first day! The drinks were delicious and always stocked.

BREAKFAST: Breakfast was the only time of day where drinks changed. This time, they served various juices in dispensers for guests to enjoy freely, with the same kinds of beverages mentioned above also available. Apart from the iced tea and lemonade, that is. Pastries, donuts, vanilla bean oatmeal, assorted fruit, meats, cheese, and hardboiled eggs were served every day. Grits were served most days, though there were some days where they were switched out for other dishes. I enjoyed the oatmeal the most of these options, and if you are staying there, I would recommend it! They also have omelet stations on some days.

Snacks: This was my favorite part of the day! The snacks were almost always the same, but it was soothing, as I knew what to look forward to. There were potato chips, corn chips with pico de gallo, popcorn, vegetables, chocolate chip cookies, tiny sandwiches and wraps, sugar cookies, a table of candy, and a trail mix station. The trail mix station was unlike anything I’ve ever seen at a Club Level. Guests were given small bags to fill up with goldfish crackers, pretzels, cranberries, chocolate chips, and mixed nuts! There was nothing like coming back to your room after a long morning in the parks to fill up a snack bag. There was also a large table of candy, with the selection of candy changing each day.

APPETIZERS: Appetizers are fairly straightforward. Salads, fresh assorted bread, a selection of meat and cheeses, wines, and vegetables can be found here. It’s always a great treat before heading out at night. They also have chefs cooking special dishes. One night, they served New York strip steak with salad and bleu cheese and a delicious macaroni and cheese. If you are traveling with picky eaters, they are sure to find something they will like.

DESSERTS: For dessert, guests are served small food common around Club Levels. Cookies, small cheesecakes, cupcakes, and lemon meringue were found almost every night. There were also sandwiches from the snacks earlier that day, macaroons, peanut butter and jelly pies, peppermint marshmallow squares, and jelly fruit squares available some nights!

Overall, I would say the food in the lounge had some great variety, tasted great, and was almost always fully stocked. There is plenty for all tastes and diets. Any picky eater is bound to find something they like. The wide variety of drinks is great, and they are easy to find and serve yourself. I would highly recommend the food at the Innkeeper’s Clubhouse!

PART TWO: ATMOSPHERE

This section will discuss the atmosphere of the Innkeeper’s Clubhouse, along with a description of the rooms.

The Innkeeper’s Clubhouse is located on the fourth floor. For some rooms, you must walk past the concierge desk and scan your MagicBand to walk through a door to your room. Everyone that wants to get to the Innkeeper’s Clubhouse lounge must walk through this door, whether your room is inside or not.

My room was located behind this door, meaning I had to scan my MagicBand to get back in every time I left, but I’m not complaining about that. Being close to the lounge is wonderful. I was very close to the door and had a gorgeous view of the cottages and garden from my room. I could even watch fireworks at night!

Rooms are decorated beautifully and are very spacious. It is not a far walk to the lounge at all from any room, even the one that’s closest to the door. Trust me, I tested this out.

Now, I must bring up the fact that some rooms on other levels also belong to the Innkeeper’s Clubhouse, meaning a lot more guests than the ones behind the door are allowed in the lounge. This can make for a far walk for those guests and a very crowded lounge, but I will get to that shortly.

The lounge itself is very small, but it manages to fit a lot in that space. There is a TV that’s constantly playing Disney movies. Though tables are constantly clearing, the number of guests can sometimes make this lounge a bit hectic. This takes a toll on the food stock as well; however, the cast members work very hard and do a wonderful job at stocking it.

Speaking of the cast members, everyone is so nice and hardworking. I did not meet a single cast member that was not very kind and friendly.

Now, to conclude, the Innkeeper’s Clubhouse lounge is a very cozy place at the right times. These times were most of the day. The atmosphere is charming, and for breakfast, it is a wonderful place to start off your day. The food is constantly being stocked, and the cast members are very kind.

However, I must note that the number of guests belonging to the club filled it up a lot. The lounge is far smaller than most Club Level lounges, and it takes in a very large number of guests. There were many times that it was difficult to get a table, and sometimes impossible. I think the Club Level lounge will need to be enlarged in order to make everybody comfortable.

It was still a highly enjoyable, magical stay. I would recommend Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to anybody seeking a quiet, comfortable resort with beautiful views and decorations.

Has anybody been to the BoardWalk Inn? What did you think?

This was a review of the Club Level. I will be posting a separate review of the BoardWalk hotel in general this weekend, so keep your eyes open for that! I hope you enjoyed this post. Thank you for reading!

Have a great day,

Gia
